So, I am easily intimidated by firsts. Maybe that is a polite way to say I’m a procrastinator. At any rate, starting this blog is something that has been in the works for a couple of months now. Although I set some deadlines for myself, I am not the strictest boss, so the deadlines fell aside while turkey and pie took precedence. However, I am now ready to post away!
Movies are my favorite, non-human things in the world. Actually, movies even come before some of the humans. Most, actually. Hmmm…I’ve had a revelation here, about my priorities! Okay, so lets just say that my children come first no matter what, and my immediate family and friends usually come second if a good movie isn’t on!
For some time I have claimed to see more movies than anyone else I know, or even anyone they know. I have even gone so far as to title myself The Source for Movie Information. I have been able to recommend movies to people based upon the movies they like. My goal here is to give a movie review without going into lengthy, boring commentary like most movie critics do. I don’t care if a movie is academy award winning material, frankly, some of the Oscar winning movies suck. I’m not going to critique the tiny details of an actor’s performance. I will simply tell you what the movie is about, what it made me feel, and if I liked it or not.
I am starting this blog as an attempt not only to entertain myself, but also to entertain my readers. Hopefully you’ll roll with laugher, contemplate your values, and gain much wisdom from my infinite knowledge. If not, well, I hope you’ll at least be able to decide if you’d like to see a movie based upon my review.
